Instrumental Music This Week Instrumental Music Students, We will have Band, Orchestra & Jazz Band beginning Tuesday Feb 17. 7:30 – 8:15. Please Remember There will be Language Finals on our floor all next week, so you will not be permitted to the 3rd floor after each rehearsal. Remember to take your instruments and all other belongings with you after each rehearsal and bring them with you each day. There Will Be NO ADMITTANCE TO THE 3rd Floor after our morning rehearsal.
Model UN Attention all delegates: Model U.N. is meeting today after school until 4:15 to begin preparation for our spring conference. We will set a date and reveal our first of three topics for the conference. Please plan to be there.
Community Service Hours If you're in need of community service hours, several upcoming events will help you get involved. The YMCA needs help with Pancake Days this weekend (Feb. 21-22). Community One needs help on Saturday (Feb. 21) with home renovations, and Wesselman Woods has an event the first weekend in March that will celebrate local maple syrup and more pancakes. Be sure to check Schoology for how to sign up, or talk to Mrs. Atkinson in room 203.
USI Speech Meet The regular season comes to an impressive end for the Speech and Debate team as they earned first place in the USI Screaming Eagle Speech Tournament on Saturday. Many impressive performances highlighted weekend. Congratulations to the following students: Our first place tournament champions were: Aneequa Mohammed, Echo Ybarra, Gilbert Kumar, Evie Wu, Jillian Clodfelter, and Lauren Casavant. In second place: Orly Troffkin, Anshi Bhavsar, Jillian Clodfelter, Garret Dennis and Kaydee Campbell, June Mushrush, Lilly Guerin, Janelle Addo, and Nicole Diab In third place: Emily Nurrenbern, June Mushrush and Kaden Chang, Emma Spencer, Evie Wu, Nicholas Fleming, Emma Roemke, and Leia Reloj In fourth place: Diya Modi, Domingo Palmerin and Preston Myers, Emi Wilbourne, Sam Pfender, and Wren Odom In fifth place: Jennedith Amador, and Hattie Barrett and Zoe Werkmeister And finally, in sixth place: Zachary Rumjahn, Zoe Werkmeister, Sahana Karthikeyan, Julie Nelson, Reagan Coomes, and Ashlynn Dougan A special shoutout to Elijah Garrison and Gavin MacLeod for being awarded with Captains' award for speakers of the tournament. Well done team!
