No School Monday - Labor Day!
Bball and Vball Basketball and Volleyball Club are ready to take the court Friday, Sept. 4, after school at the YMCA. Y members get free admission, while non-members must pay $5. Games will last until 5 p.m. This is a student-run CAS project so no teachers will be present. If you have questions, reach out to Evan Atkinson about volleyball or Ethan Kumapley for basketball.
Student Council Attention Student Council members, thank you to all who shared their interest and submitted their committee preferences for first semester. Due to the enthusiastic response and in order to give the Student Council officers time to compile, review, and assign committees, there not be a Student Council meeting this Friday lunch time, September 4th. Student Council will resume its weekly lunchtime meeting next Friday, September 11th and present the first semester committee heads and committee members lists.
Basketball Club: Tournament Week! If you love basketball, join the basketball club at the Downtown Y tomorrow. This week is Tournament Week, so everyone who plays must pay a $5 tournament fee. Y members receive free admission, while non-YMCA members will need to pay an additional $5 admission fee. If you have any questions, contact officer Ethan Kumapley.
Mock Trial Mock Trial will be meeting today, after school, in the Commons until 4:30. Please come ready to try out!
Hughes/College App Help Session This is a reminder to seniors planning on attending Saturday's College App Help Session to sign up by noon today. Can't make it? No worries! Sign up for next Saturday's College App Help Session instead.
German Exchange Students Once again this October, we will be welcoming five German exchange students to SIG for four weeks from our partner high school in Osnabrück. We already have four host families and we are still in need of one more SIG family to host a girl. If you have a spare bedroom at home and can coordinate transportation, please contact Dr. Halvorsen in room 415 for more information.
