Community Service
As part of Signature’s mission, Signature students are required to complete a minimum of 25 hours of service per year. Freshman and sophomore students record their service on the Community Service Reflection Form (see below). Juniors and seniors record their CAS hours on ManageBac.

Spring/Summer 2026 Volunteer Opportunities for Incoming Students
- ARK Crisis Children’s Center has an urgent need for volunteers from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 18 to give kids a Disney experience at the Fairy Tale Ball. Click here for details about how to sign up and what you will do. Also, you can call Abby at 812-423-9425 to sign up to help.
- Evansville Civic Theatre needs help building, cleaning, and painting a set for the performance of People, Places and Things. The work takes place on various dates in April and May at 717 N Fulton Ave., Evansville, IN 47710. Sign up here.
- Volunteers are wanted to help with 5K on the Runway on Saturday, May 2 at the Evansville Wartime Museum, 7503 Petersburg Road, Evansville, 47725. Volunteers should arrive between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. and should finish by 11 a.m. Sign up here.
- Honor Flight is looking for escorts for veterans in the welcome home parade on Saturday, May 2 at the Evansville Regional Airport. Interested volunteers need to apply through www.honorgflightsi.org by April 24, 2026 or at this link.
- ChemoBuddies wants volunteers to direct runners during the Hope Fest 5K from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9 at Central High School, 5400 First Ave., 47710. Volunteers should sign up as a ‘race course director’ at this link. For questions, reach out to Vanessa Borgman at 513-748-3265.
- Sierra Club and Solar United Neighbors wants volunteers from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 at the Haynie’s Corner Wiffleball field in Evansville, to celebrate Earth Day. Volunteers can sign up for different shifts at this link.

- Students can learn about local summer jobs, camps, and enrichment programs at the city’s Summer Resource Fair from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3 at the EWSU Water Pump Station, 1200 Waterworks Rd. “My Summer Ride” badges will be available for youth aged 18 and under. These badges allow students to ride the METS bus for free.
