Whether you are a prospective student, parent or recently admitted student/parent, here are some terms used at Signature frequently:

AP – Advanced Placement 

Resource â€“ This is a period during freshman year used to transition students from middle to high school. Students learn about maintaining a planner, effective study tips, email etiquette, and other valuable skills. 

PowerSchool â€“ This is the platform used to check grades and view attendance. Both the student and parent receive individual login credentials for this site. 

Schoology – This is the platform used for teachers to post assignments for students. 

Block Schedule – Each Signature student has a total of eight classes in their overall schedule - the Signature daily class schedule has four periods in one day, divided into A and B days. Each period is an hour and forty-five minutes. 

IB â€“ International Baccalaureate.

CAS – Creativity, Activity, and Service. These are the three pillars of community service required for the IB Program. 

HL â€“ Higher Level. In reference to IB courses. 

SL – Standard Level. In reference to IB courses.
