Evansville Public Library's Online Database Collection
This site is where you can find research databases through the library. They are great sources of information, but you need your library card to use them.

Merriam Webster Online Dictionary
This online dictionary is easy to use and includes an online thesarus. You also can hear the pronunciation of the word.

This site explains the etymology of words and phrases in detail, often citing the first time they were seen in print.

This site is a concise, easy-to-use etymology dictionary.
