SIGNATURE SCHOOL INFO

U.S. News and World Report evaluated nearly 22,000 public high schools in 49 states and the District of Columbia. Schools were awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals based on state proficiency standards, how well they prepare students for college, and other factors. The Signature School was awarded the gold medal and is ranked #35 in the country, #5 best charter high school, #49 in the country in math & science, and #1 in Indiana. Congratulations to Ms. Snyder on being awarded the Evansville Rotary Club Civic Award for 2011! The purpose of the award is to recognize publicly outstanding civic, charitable, humanitarian, and/or cultural services to the City of Evansville and its people. Ms. Snyder has guided Signature School since its beginning in 2002 as Indiana's first charter high school. Signature has been named the number one high school in the Midwest and the number seven high school in the nation and has received multiple state and national awards under Ms. Snyder's leadership. By any academic standard you choose, one of the very best high schools in the nation is located here in Evansville, Indiana. Signature's academic excellence and recognition provides great benefit to our community through attracting vibrant people and new businesses to Evansville. Ms. Snyder and Signature are beacons of light that show what is possible in public education. Congratulations, Ms. Snyder, from your faculty, staff, students and parents! Signature School will have openings for the 2012-2013 school year. It is anticipated that there will be openings in English, Social Studies, World Languages, and Music. Please indicate if you have had IB or AP training. If you are interested in a teaching position at Signature School, please send a resume to: vicki.snyder@signature.edu.
The 2012-2013 Signature School calendar has been approved and is now available. Please note that Signature School does not follow the same calendar as the EVSC. Consequently, some vacation days may not be the same. Please check the calendar when making travel arrangements to minimize loss of instruction time. Click on the link to view the calendar.
